The series consists of records of the Atlanta Urban League Department of Community Services from 1930-1982. The records include administrative files of the department heads (1944-1982) including their correspondence and reports and records of fund raising activities through the Negro Division of the Atlanta Community Chest (1930-1965). The records also contain materials relating to community based affiliates of the League including correspondence, minutes of meetings (1947-1976), and newsletters and materials pertaining to the League's relationship with the Atlanta University School of Social Work.
